The power of the subconscious mind is infinitely more powerful than our conscious mind and can be directed, with an experienced and professional hypnotherapist to relieve barriers and improve health. Over the years, smoking, panic attacks, anxiety and anger seem to dominate the concerns of people who come. My practice is however a general one and all areas of concern can be addressed.

The most important thing for hypnotherapy to work is that you want the desired end result. It must be your choice to come. Even long-term issues start being resolved after the first session and although you may not be aware of change happening- often others are. When you think about it – why do you stop yourself achieving what you want? You know what is making you so uncomfortable, or maybe not. Your thoughts are your conditioning or programming by parents, family, peers, teachers and can be changed to a more positive approach if you want to.

As much as I enjoyed my nursing career I felt that the focus was not the holistic approach I was looking for. Hypnotherapy on the other hand, offers the ability to create a sense of peace and harmony within an individual, thereby allowing them to meet the present challenge in their life. This challenge, whether emotional, psychological or physical, can then be met, and dealt with in a positive way, making the journey toward wellness and peace of mind, less traumatic. In this way we have an individual free from ‘dis-ease’, functioning well, physically, emotionally, and socially.

My practice is a general one, the areas in which I have found hypnotherapy helpful are: Addictions including Smoking, Alcohol, Gambling, and Recreational Drugs. Anxiety, Stress, and Panic Attacks. Bed Wetting. Fears, and Phobias. Improved Concentration and Motivation. Mind – Body Healing. Physical conditions such as, Psoriasis, Pain Management, Pre and Post surgery, etc. Public Speaking. Relaxation. Self-Confidence. Sexual Dysfunction. Stress and Pain Management during Childbirth. Weight Management and Control.

All of these areas and more can be dealt with using hypnotherapy, however I have found that a majority of my clients have presented with severe anxiety and panic attacks. I have therefore found myself somewhat specializing in this area. Using hypnotherapy, and a combination of self- hypnosis, meditation and/or relaxation techniques, has proved a successful combination in the approach to these severe anxiety states.
